This osprey has definitely not left Bristol for South America yet. Photographs taken today, September 11, 2010 from a home over looking Bristol Harbor! Thank you for sending in!
Osprey mate for life, fly over 2000 miles to South America to winter and return to the same nesting places
year after year in the north. They usually return to Bristol in April.
Correction Sept 12, 2010: This is NOT an osprey. It's a juvenile Broad Tailed Hawk.
