This is such a spectacular idea! Now we don't have to drive all the way to Pawtucket for fresh winter veggies!
Directions: Drive in the main entrance to Mount Hope Farm at 250 Metacom Ave (Bristol RI 02809) and follow signs for parking. The farm's walking trails are open from dawn to dusk! Dogs are allowed but must be on leash and are expected to be picked up after.
Photograph by Richard W. Dionne, Jr. shows Executive Director, Janet Zwolinski, feeding the farm's Dominique chickens, a heritage breed.

This was an incredible event for Mount Hope Farm but also for the Town of Bristol. Over 700 people attended! The parking lots were FULL! Janet Zwolinski, executive director, said she was able to do some house tours as well as gain new memberships. She said the hours will be extended to 9 - 1 pm starting asap. People attended from all over the East Bay region. We are lucky that this is in our beautiful backyard. Wishing Stone Farm produce will have two open registers next time instead of one.
I just returned from the farmers market and it was so much fun. Not only was the market fantastic, but you can't beat the atmosphere... Mt. Hope Farm is gorgeous!
